We were honored to have our resident Janet Roman, and SVL featured in a recent LNP article.

“Over a year ago, Janet Roman found herself completely on her own for the first time in decades. After a major life change and with a son in college, she was in search of a new place to live after 20 years in a single-family home in East Lampeter Township. Roman was open to moving downtown, but she knew little about what was available and was nervous about living alone as a single woman.

Then a friend suggested she check out Steeple View Lofts, a charmingly repurposed 125-year-old tobacco warehouse at 118 N. Water St.
The industrial chic 55-plus Landis Communities residence features 36 one- and two-bedroom apartments on three floors.

Since signing her lease in September 2017, Roman has discovered that Steeple View Lofts is not only a place to live, but a community to call home.
“It’s a blessing and a miracle,” she says. “This building is incredible.”
Roman’s apartment, like all of those at Steeple View Lofts, embraces the building’s historic past, with exposed brick walls, high ceilings and, her personal favorite, oversized “amazing” windows.”
