Landis Quality Living, an organization recently formed by Landis Communities to oversee affordable living options for adults age 55+, is happy to welcome Kevin Ressler to its Board of Directors.  Evon Bergey, Landis Communities Vice-President of Community Initiatives commented, “We are thrilled for Kevin to join the Landis Quality Living Board. Kevin’s passion, experience and commitment to serving diverse individuals across all levels of income will be an asset to our work. Kevin’s personal values align well with Landis Communities values of Joy, Compassion, Integrity, Stewardship, and Community.”

Since January of 2020, Ressler has served as President and CEO of the United Way of Lancaster County.  Prior to that, he spent more than five years as the Executive Director of Meals on Wheels of Lancaster. 

Ressler holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Lancaster Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Justice, Peace and Conflict Studies from Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, VA. He and his family live in the city of Lancaster. 

Ressler brings with him a wealth of experience in envisioning how organizations can work in new ways to assist their existing and future clients. He is also currently serving on the boards of Lanco MyHome, Meals on Wheels, UPMC Lititz, Everence Financial Credit Union and the Partnership for Public Health. He has previously served with Lancaster General/Penn Health on the Mission and Community Benefit Committee, Conestoga Valley Education Foundation, Assets Lancaster, Atlantic Coast Conference of Mennonite Church USA, Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society’s Roots Education Events Planning Committee and the Community Board, Friends of Mennonite Theological College of East Africa.

Board Chair Keith Stuckey expressed delight in adding Ressler to the board.  “The Landis Quality Living (LQL) Board of Directors is excited to welcome Kevin as its newest member, enriching our effort to provide middle market and affordable housing with support services to older adults in and around Lancaster.  Kevin brings extensive knowledge and experience to this kind of endeavor as CEO of Lancaster United Way, and with numerous previous community service involvements.  He will help grow the LQL board’s understanding of the needs and possibilities of the communities we seek to serve.”

President/CEO Larry Zook added, “We are grateful for Kevin’s leadership in our community, and look forward to his engaging in our mission to creatively serve the diverse needs and interests of older adults by developing opportunities and collaborative relationships and by honoring and enriching the lives of aging adults and their families in communities of Christ-like love.”

Landis Quality Living is a new organization established by Landis Communities to develop and own affordable and middle market housing in Lancaster and surrounding counties.  It joins with the other parts of Landis Communities in its commitment to following God’s call to creatively serve the diverse needs and interests of older adults by developing opportunities and collaborative relationships.
